This car was in single ownership from 1957. It has undergone the most complete restoration possible.

The body was removed, the wooden ash frame has been replaced where necessary and metalwork which had no rust was
repaired and re-finished.

The chassis was specially treated and coated. The engine has been completely reconditioned with new pistons, valves and
bearings.

Every bush and bracket has been handmade and expertly replaced. Wiring and all electric have also been replaced.

The trim has been refurbished by specialist trimmers to the highest standard. The fuel tank has been handmade to F.I.
standards.

This Fiat 508 has been fully prepared for next year’s Mille Miglia and is of course eligible for many historic events.

A fully prepared vehicle that is a lot of fun to drive.

Fiat S.p.A. is an Italian automobile manufacturer based in Turin (Fabbrica Italiana Automobili Torino). Fiat was founded in 1899 by a group of investors, including Giovanni_Agnelli"Giovanni Agnelli. During its more than century-long history, Fiat has also manufactured railway engines and carriages, military vehicles, farm tractors, and aircraft. In 2011, Fiat was the fourth largest European automaker by production behind Volkswagen Group, PSA, and HYPERLINK Renault and the eleventh largest automaker by production in the world.

Fiat has acquired numerous other companies; e.g., it acquired Lancia in 1968, became a shareholder of Ferrari in 1969, took control of Alfa Romeo from the Italian government in 1986, purchased Maserati in 1993, and became the majority shareholder of Chrysler in 2011.
The 508 was a car introduced by Fiat in 1932. It effectively replaced the Fiat 509, although production of the earlier model had ceased back in 1929. It had a three-speed transmission (increased to four in 1934), seated four, and had a top speed of about 50 mph (80 km/h). It sold for 10,800 lire (or 8,300 2005 euro). About 113 thousand were produced, a large part of them in the Centralne Warsztaty Samochodowe factory in Poland.
The 508 was also manufactured in France by SAFAF (Société Anonyme Française des Automobiles Fiat) branded as Simca-Fiat 6cv.
