Welcome to HewittClassics.com
Hewitt Classics is owned and operated by Russell and Bradley Hewitt.
A little history..
In 1946, after returning from the war our Grandfather John Hewitt started John Hewitt Garages as a third job. While working far too many hours throughout the day and night he managed to build up the business enough to concentrate on repairing and painting vehicles for a living.
By 1965 our Father Michael Hewitt joined the family business, now based in Wollaston in the West Midlands.
By 1985 the sale of Motor Salvage had become the main focus of the business and a larger site was required. John Hewitt & Sons Garages Ltd became Hewitt Salvage and the business continued to expand with brothers Michael and Adam Hewitt at the helm.
Russell Hewitt joined the family business in 1997 - eventually progressing to Director via every position in the ever growing company and joined by his brother Bradley in 2002 who followed a similar path. The once small family business was employing over 60 staff, collecting up to 100 vehicles per day and storing up to 5000 vehicles at any time at our 50 acre site in Wombourne near Wolverhampton.
As one of the largest Motor Salvage companies in Europe in 2011, now with on-line salvage and agricultural auctions Hewitt International Salvage Management had become a very attractive business to give an American Motor Salvage company a solid foothold in the market.
After the sale of Hewitt International; Russell and Bradley have continued in the profession they are passionate about and the business they know best - cars and motorcycles.
Now the focus of the business is spending considerably more time on considerably fewer vehicles!
Our stock is carefully chosen to be an investment for us and an ongoing investment for our customers.
